New Delhi/Noida: The situation suddenly worsened in Noida on Monday morning when factory workers took to the streets demanding increase in wages. Within no time, many main roads were closed and traffic got completely entangled. Long queues of vehicles formed from Sector-62 to DND. Many people remained stuck at one place for hours.

Did the jam increase suddenly or spread gradually?

It started from one area, but the impact spread quickly. The protest that started from Phase-2 reached the main roads and then the surrounding routes also got stuck in the jam.

Did the people coming from Delhi face more difficulties?

Entry into Noida from Akshardham side was almost stopped. The situation worsened after the closure of Chilla border. Many people leaving from Delhi got stuck midway.

As soon as the shouting stopped, the load of vehicles on DND increased. At some places, vehicles were seen crawling and the jam continued for several kilometers.
